Resumen

The present research was developed at the Technical University of Babahoyo of Ecuador and aimed to apply multivariate methods for the study of technical skills in the subject of electronics. Through the application of the Optimum Scaling method through the Multiple Correspondence Analysis (ACM) and the Principal Component Analysis for categorical data (CATPCA), it was possible to characterize the state of the technical abilities of the students of the Educational Unit Eugenio Espejo, allowing Investigate the patterns and regularities that govern their behavior. This makes it possible to restructure and execute those that the student requires to achieve the best academic performance possible.
