LA TECNICA DE LOS POTENCIALES DE POBLACION Y LA ESTRUCTURA ESPACIAL DE LA UNION EUROPEA

Resumen

El objetivo de este trabajo es la aplicación del concepto de potenciales de la población para describir la
estructura espacial de la Unión europea. El concepto de potenciales de la población nos permite la
construcción de una “cartografía macroscópica” y también nos da una representación gradual de la
influencia de la población en el territorio y muestra sus características estructurales. Los mapas de
potenciales dibujan la estructura espacial de la Unión europea claramente, alrededor de una gran área
de aglomeración central: Gran Mancherster-Londres-París-Colonia-Düsseldorf-El Valle Rhur, se
obtuvieron las imágenes de noche del satélite mostrando una coincidencia sorprendente con las áreas
de difusión ligeras.

ABSTRACT
The objective of this work is the application of the concept of population potentials in order to describe
the spatial structure of the European Union. The concept of population potentials allows us the
construction of a “macroscopic cartography” and gives us a gradual representation of the influence of
the population on the territory and it also, shows its structural characteristics. The maps of potentials
clearly draw the spatial structure of the European Union, around its large central agglomeration area:
Grand Mancherster-London-Paris-Cologne-Düsseldorf-Rhur Valley; showing a surprising coincidence
with the light diffusion areas obtained from the satellite night-time pictures.
